What is EDP? And is EDP better than EDT?

What is EDP? And is EDP better than EDT?

What is EDP (Eau de Parfum)? EDP
stands for Eau de Parfum, which contains a fragrance oil concentration of approximately 15–20%. This results in a scent that is distinct, detailed, and longer-lasting than standard perfumes. On average, it lasts 6–10 hours and offers a deep, smooth projection without being overbearing.

What is the difference between EDP and EDT?

EDP: Stronger and lasts longer.

EDT: Lighter and easier to wear.

Which one is "Better"?

In reality, there is no definitive "better" option. It entirely depends on "how you plan to use it."

Choose EDP if...

- You want a scent that lasts all day.

- You enjoy a fragrance with depth and a distinct character.

- You don't want to re-apply during the day.

Choose EDT if...

- You prefer a light, airy, and refreshing scent.

- You are using it for daily activities or in hot weather.

- Longevity isn't your priority, and you don't mind re-spraying often.

Did You Know?

EDP isn't always "stronger" (more pungent): It is often smoother and more well-rounded because its scent structure is more balanced.

EDT might "project more" initially: Because it has a higher alcohol content, the top notes often pop more aggressively at first but fade quickly.

Summary:

EDP (Eau de Parfum): 15–20% concentration, lasts 6–10 hours. Choose this for longevity and depth.

EDT (Eau de Toilette): Lighter concentration, lasts 3–6 hours. Choose this for a breezy, easy-to-wear vibe.
